Description
Our client, an established independent Central London property specialist (established in 1996), is seeking a dynamic Lettings Manager to help grow the lettings portfolio within one of their five London offices. The goal is to win new instructions and expand the portfolio to a level that supports hiring an additional Lettings Negotiator.
The ideal candidate will be hands‑on, commercially driven, and fully confident conducting viewings, securing new lets, and managing landlord relationships. Strong lettings legislation knowledge, excellent presentation, and first‑class communication skills are essential. The company values experience, personality, honesty, and long‑term relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new instructions and grow the lettings portfolio.
- Attend market appraisals and secure new listings.
- Conduct viewings, handle enquiries, and negotiate lets.
- Manage landlord and tenant relationships, ensuring high service standards.
- Maintain accurate records and notes in Reapit.
- Build and manage a landlord prospecting database.
- Coordinate marketing materials (photos, floorplans, tours).
- Manage listings on major portals: Rightmove, Zoopla, OTM, company website.
- Assist with social media and blog content where required.
- Implement monthly canvassing and attend networking events.
- Stay updated on legislation and ensure compliance.
- Provide initial support on complaints/disputes.
- Liaise with renewals team regarding rent levels.
- Attend weekly/monthly updates with directors and managers.

- Strong Lettings experience within Central London.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident, polished communication style.
- Knowledge of ARLA standards and lettings legislation.
- Relationship‑driven, trustworthy, and professional.
- Comfortable working closely with Directors in an independent agency setting.
Working Hours
- Winter: Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm
- BST (summer): One day per week 9am–7pm (Fridays remain 9–6)
- Saturdays: 10am–2pm (1 in 3 rota, half‑day in lieu)
